Meet our partner from Portugal: RESS TEXTILES

With our brand RE-BORN SPORTS we love to be open and transparent. We produce our collection in a sustainable and long lasting way in a factory in Portugal, with our supportive family Pereira de Castro. Please meet our vendor from Portugal: RESS TEXTILES.

RESS TEXTILES – Ressurreição Malhas & Conf. Lda began its activities by Mr. José António Castro and Mrs. Maria da Ressurreição da Silva Pereira at the Portugese market in 1988. They operated mainly in jersey production, specialized in womenswear, menswear, children- and babywear, sportswear and nightwear. Mrs. Maria da Ressurreição was specialized in cutting and pattern making. They started the company from a small garage, but they grew their busines and expended the building in a few years. In 1991 RESS TEXTILES stopped working as a subcontractor and began selling directly to foreign markets.

In 2006 Patricia Pereira de Castro graduated in physics and chemistry and she started to help her parents in the textile business. She was fascinated by this textile world and she decided to join the company to grow the business. Patricia is the CEO of the company now. In 2011 José Pereira de Castro, Patricia´s brother graduated in Civil Engineering. José joined the company as well and he contributes in expanding the family business.

RESS is a serious active partner for us at RE-BORN SPORTS. They develop our garments following our specifications and they manufacture according to our quality standards. They deliver quality control and provide us logistics solutions. They work in a vertical way; internally holding all stages of production of garments, with a focus on sustainable production in the selection of raw materials and finishes. This allows them to control the whole process. 

With more than 30 years of experience, they count a large client portfolio of well-known brands in European Textiles. The year 2020 brought consolidated growth. Such growth entailed a necessary change of facilities into a totally new factory in Carvalhal, with about 2500m2.

Re-Born Sports and RESS work very closely together and it feels like one big family. We love to work with them for many more years and develop beautiful sustainable products together. We are very grateful for our relationship and we look forward to our future activities.
